Hands-On Sustainability Experience
Cornell Atkinson sponsors summer internships for Cornell students who want to immerse themselves fully in project teams working at the intersection of science, policy, community, and the private sector. Embedded across the country in the offices of our close partner the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), Cornell students emerge understanding how lasting change is co-created among multiple stakeholders, together with a set of real skills that allow them to contribute to the process.

Meet Sachi Srivastava ’25, 2023 Atkinson-EDF Summer Intern
“I have loved the opportunity to connect with researchers all over the world during the Climate Smart Agriculture team’s biweekly global calls. Climate Smart Agriculture is a much more prominent and active field than I thought. Whether I am hearing about curbing livestock emissions in India or farmer engagement with a Nature Restoration Regulation in the EU, there is such a diversity of people, experiences, and work to learn from.”
