2026: Shifting Dynamics of Agricultural Technology Adoption in Bangladesh

Undergraduate students will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on the Monitoring Impacts for Technology Adoption and Program Engagement (MIXTAPE) project in Bangladesh. This study examines how agricultural technologies, such as improved rice varieties and aquaculture, have been adopted and their impacts on livelihoods. Students will investigate two key factors: how cognitive risk perceptions influence adoption decisions, and how migration and remittances affect long-term technology uptake. Engaging with faculty, graduate students, and local practitioners, this project offers hands-on research experience while contributing valuable insights into technology adoption dynamics and strategies for improving agricultural livelihoods in developing regions.

Faculty Lead: Kurt Waldman (Cornell CALS / Ashley School of Global Development and the Environment / Global Development Section)
