Joey Diana Gates
Joey Diana Gates serves as the Operations Assistant at the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability. As a member of the Operations Team, she coordinates center events including Topical Lunches, with a focus on creating zero-waste gatherings. She also administers grant disbursements, day to day financial transactions, and coordinates travel arrangements.
Before joining Cornell Atkinson, she worked at various offices throughout Cornell over the past 20 years, and has founded several sustainability-minded businesses and community organizations. A US Army veteran, Joey received a B.A. in International Relations from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and an M.A. in Liberal Arts from Empire State College, for which she designed one of the first degrees in sustainability.
