2020: Reducing Healthcare Workers’ Risk From Disease Spread
While millions of people stay at home to minimize transmission of the new coronavirus, healthcare workers must continue to maintain and operate medical facilities, putting themselves at high risk. Researchers will conduct an integrated, multi-scale monitoring and modeling study to develop mitigation strategies for medical facilities to protect the safety of healthcare workers. The project collaborators include lead physicians in emergency medicine and infectious disease, the two departments most affected by COVID-19, at New York-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital in New York City.
