2024: Novel Polymer Membranes to Accelerate Green Hydrogen Technologies
Green hydrogen is created by using wind or solar power to generate electricity, which is then used to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. The resulting “green hydrogen” can be used in fuel cells to generate energy or to store energy, which can help compensate for the intermittent nature of wind and solar. This project seeks to develop new polymer membranes that will improve stability and conductivity in green hydrogen technologies.
